# Video: Digit Numbers

This a short math video for kids that teaches about digit numbers. We teach what a digit is so kids can understand things later like place value. Many kids struggle with simple math vocabulary terms and this video should help with the term digit.

One-Digit Numbers

The numbers from zero to nine have one digit. They are called one digit number.
Example: 1 is a single digit number. That uses the digit 1 only.

Two-Digit Numbers

The numbers from ten to ninety-nine have two digits. They are called two-digit numbers.
Example: 59 is a two digit number. That uses the digit 5 and 9

Three-Digit Numbers

When you reach one hundred, you need three digits to write it down in the figure. It is three digit number.
Example: 125 is a three digit number. That uses the digit 1, 2 and 5

Four-Digit Numbers

When you reach one Thousand, you need four digits to write it down in the figure. It is four digit number.
Example: 1245 is a four-digit number. That uses the digit 1, 2, 4 and 5.
